White sand, turquoise water – all the beaches on La Graciosa

La Graciosa has no hotel swimming pools, no sun lounger hire firms and no queues at the kiosks. What it does have: seven beaches that look just like you’d imagine the Caribbean to be – even though they’re on the Atlantic. White sand, turquoise water, hardly anyone around. That’s the reality on the 8th Canary Island.

Playa Francesa is the most popular beach for swimming – quiet, family-friendly, accessible on foot or by bike. Playa de las Conchas is the island’s flagship beach – stunningly beautiful, but not suitable for swimming due to strong currents. Playa de la Cocina at the foot of the Montaña Amarilla is the best spot for snorkelling. And Playa del Salado in the east is the largest and most secluded beach on the island.
